Older Iowans support medical marijuana

The 2009 Older Iowans Legislature enacted six (6)
bills and four (4) resolutions that do NOT ask for
appropriations in 2010.
• OIL Bill 09-01 – (Standardization of long term
care insurance policies)
• OIL Bill 09-18B – (Defining elder abuse)
• OIL Bill 14B – (Counseling for spouse of nursing
home resident)
• OIL Bill 09-07A – (Prohibiting text messaging
while driving)
• OIL Bill 09-06A – (Expansion of entities
governed by the Open Meetings Law)
• OIL Bill 09-29A – (Legalizing medicinal
marijuana)
• Resolution 09-01 – (Resolution to support family
caregivers)
• Resolution 09-02 – (Resolution to support
mandatory credit training)
• Resolution 09-03 – (Resolution to support
Project 2020)
• Resolution 09-04 – (Resolution to support
oversight of assisted living facilities)
