Ricky Williams on Weed: “Like Spinach For Popeye;” “Don’t Get in Trouble”

In an interview with Campus Insiders last month, Ricky Williams said his past weed usage was a source of strength, not a weakness:

CI: “Marijuana of course got you, it was a bit of an Achilles heel, the NFL suspension. What do you tell a kid who gets busted for pot?”

Williams: “I don’t agree that it was an Achilles heel, I kind of think of it was more like spinach for Popeye,” Williams said. “I’d tell them, obviously there’s rules you have to follow, and so, don’t get in trouble like I did, is what I would tell them.”
