This group is no longer active as we have accomplished our mission of getting Iowa to make a list of doctors to certify conditions. If you need a doctor to certify your condition follow these instructions.

Step 1: Call Trevor at the IDPH. It will likely ring once and go to voicemail because he’s already on the phone with someone else. Leave your voicemail and he will respond in the order received. Trevor’s phone number is 515.725.2076. It will likely go straight to voicemail — do not hang up and yell at us because you didn’t get catered to immediately, he’s likely on the phone with someone else, patience will be required, he should get back to you within 24 hours.

Step 2: Get a doctor in your area for your conditions from Trevor when he calls you back. I am going for untreatable pain. The doctor is Dr. Christopher Covert in Des Moines.

The IDPH in my opinion is handling this perfectly. Any critiques or insights as to how to improve the regulatory process may be brought to us or Trevor as well. Trevor is an amazing human.
