Baltimore De-Criminalizes Marijuana

The Baltimore state attorney has announced that they will no longer prosecute anyone for possessing any amount of marijuana and has asked that 5,000 cases of marijuana possession be vacated.  The police union has protested, stating that it will still make arrests.  If they enforced this new policy, on the other hand, then the police would have to devote more of their time to arresting real criminals, of which there is an extreme abundance in Baltimore.
