No Surprise There — As Usual, Iowa Senate Marijuana Bill Differs Massively From Iowa House

Senator Joe Bolkcom writes on his Facebook page,

Here is a link to the new House Republican medical cannabis bill. It does not add any new medical conditions, continues to limit the THC available to sick Iowans. And it does not add any new dispensary locations for Iowans to more easily access this medicine. Let me know how you think this bill can be made better.

In a year when Illinois, Minnesota and Michigan are playing rock, paper scissors over who gets to regulate marijuana first, as well as how, Iowans have cowardly wait and see games remaining to be endured. Iowa farmers increasingly grow interested in farming hemp for profit, but certain exclusive advocates for marijuana, instead of lobbying from a position of integrity and trust, continue to lie to Iowans while selling illegal CBD and trying to get rich while instead being served their justified desserts.

While nationally, the marijuana movement has good cause to be optimistic (such as Alex Berenson sitting down for a full three hour discourse where all concerns about marijuana being legalized and regulated off the black market such as youth access, safety and people with mental illness not being able to use marijuana safely), the Iowa marijuana scene seems to be continually deflated by non-partisan Republicans in the Iowa House who oppose marijuana not for political reasons anymore, but personal.

Follow WeedPress on Facebook for yet another year of ill-intended saboteurs to the rule of law and integrity advancing horrible bills like Senator Zaun’s “only 30 days” criminal marijuana possession bill in the guise of representing what people want, which to advance those kind of bills, you have to be outright ignoring the marijuana movement. Well, mission yet again accomplished on that end!
