“I was proud to vote for improved access to medical cannabis. The bill passed almost unanimously in the House. This updated bill includes provisions for someone with chronic illness to have greater access to medical cannabis, and adds severe or chronic pain to the list of medical conditions covered by law. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants will join the list of medical professionals who may certify a patient’s eligibility, which will improve ease of access to the program.

“One of my promises to my constituents was to work in a bipartisan manner. It has been rewarding for me and beneficial to the people of our state to work with all of my colleagues on good public policy.”
