Joe Bolkcom Plainly Stated Iowa’s CBD Program Can’t Work, And He Was Right.

We’ve all been scammed.

In 2017, Senator Joe Bolkcom stayed up all night at the Capitol to try and get a useful version of a marijuana program in Iowa.

Myself and a handful of advocates were at the capitol as well. I even walked the floor and spoke with Linda Upmeyer and two other Representatives during the all nighter.

When the bill was finally presented in it’s final form it was very early in the morning.

The bill, which became the Iowa Medical Cannabidiol Act, was pure trash. It’s the same language from that bill that we have today.

Thinking about the issue is what we do. Our silver lining is this:

This program was never intended to be useful, affordable, or helpful to the majority of Iowans who qualify, and Kim Reynolds vetoing the bill being expanded shows, by her own statements, that this is not a medical marijuana program meant to succeed, but a sham in disguise.

Senator Joe Bolkcom
Senator Bolkcom said this program was a scam in 2017 and he was correct.

In 2020, let’s pass a real medical program, instead of this CBD only one. One that allows homegrown, affordable safe marijuana plants, more dispensaries, and the most preferable dosing method for patients due to cost and near instantaneous effects: smoked marijuana.

There need not be some slick “plan” and there need not be some unholy anointing of some uninformed soccer moms with fat, sexless asses parading on TV and asking everyone to “follow” them. All we need for liberty to prevail is a few individuals who don’t give a damn about speaking anything but the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

To hell with whoever opposes recreational marijuana. Hypocrites in sheep clothing.

To hell with fake Christians asking for baby steps as a mean to cement the unjust slavery of arresting people for personal choices.

To hell with big government politicians.

In 2020, I’m not wasting my time sucking up to people. I don’t think I ever did but if I did, I can assure you, there’s no fucks left here.

Our leadership and nice smiling pansy asses on the marijuana front are clearly more determined to be useful pawns than actual activists.

So while there’s not yet a clear answer or path, let the chaos of Kim Reynolds ignorant veto be the fertilizer for planting new seeds — to hell with this current program.

It’s a complete joke and doesn’t benefit anyone but the few who have money to waste of overpriced products that under perform.

Burn it in a bonfire and start fresh is my take at this early hour after the veto. Nuances, formulated public speeches, and posing activists who get two minutes of fame then demand respect not earned can all eat a dick.

See Senator Bolkcom’s tireless, never ending journey to right this wrong, including being supremely prescient as to the future of this sham program, in a statement he made early Saturday morning in 2017’s last day of Legislative voting:
