From the Quad-City Times — Moline approves developing zoning regulations for cannabis businesses:
“Alderman Dick Potter, 4th Ward, said the legalization of cannabis is long overdue.”
It’s a boring article where councilmen dicker and worry about social costs of freedom and liberty from a completely uninformed and blatantly oblivious point of view.
Interesting point to note however: both cities (Rock Island and Moline) Davenport is connected by bridge to have legalized cannabis. Cannabis is still illegal in Davenport. It will be interesting to write about this in the future and see if cannabis consumption went up or down in Davenport, as well as Illinois. I predict Davenport use will increase, and Illinois use decrease, because the taboo will go up in Davenport and make it “cool” to smoke pot, and the taboo will go down in Illinois and make it, “less cool.”
Sure is fun to sit in the fun seats and watch all the suffering be held up by legislative stiffs in suits lacking emotional maturity to tackle hard issues in full, isn’t it.
