An Iowan asked us to share their story of finding real relief with “recreational” marijuana:

I used cannabis recreationally for the first time about 2 years ago and it was solely just to try it. I did it once and never really messed with it again. Not because I didn’t like it but I was scared of getting something laced off the streets.
It wasn’t until this year that I ended up going to Colorado and buying. Again, it was solely for recreational use. However, what I didn’t expect was the medicinal benefits I received from it. I’ve had bowel issues for years now including intestinal cramping, bloating and constipation. I’ve never been formally diagnosed, but if I had to guess I probably have IBS.
After years of suffering from all those symtpoms and taking different medications including miralax, magnesium citrate and linzess, all pretty much confining me to the bathroom, cannabis is what actually helped me. The very next morning after using the stuff I bought, I was having no intestinal cramping, regular bowel movements and my bloating was pretty much gone. My system had worked the best it had in over 5 years. I’ve tried using CBD only but it doesn’t seem to help like THC did. I hope that not only does cannabis become more available medicinally, but also recreationally so people can really understand what things it can do for your body.
