A Really Good Article On Austrian Economics

Word has it quite a few libertarian leaning economists use marijuana as an intellectual aide in their writings and research. Here’s a good article by one of my favorite dudes from over in that school of thought, and I’m sharing it here, because I can.

Perhaps the most important element of this intellectual diversity may be found with regard to macroeconomics, money, inflation, unemployment and the business cycle.

It’s a good read. If you enjoy this topic, check out this documentary. This, and a rap battle I’ll also post here, got me interested in econ in 2011 during a DC visit. This is still today the best beginner intro I can recommend on the topic and is best enjoyed both stoned and not stoned, Bill Maher style. If you are interested in books, I’d recommend Henry Hazlitt’s “Economics in One Lesson” or Economics for Real People: An Introduction to the Austrian School by Gene Callahan.

Another good place to learn about economics is by watching The Bubble, which is on sale last I checked for ten bucks a movie.

Light one up and enjoy!
