Iowa Sends Black Man To Prison For Five Years For Marijuana Possession

Marijuana was made illegal for racist reasons. This is well established history.

Today, the oppression of people of color continues with a little known law on the books in Iowa’s systemically racist drug war, as a 26 year old black man is robbed of five years of his life for possessing a god given medicinal plant in nature. There was no victim, the state just wants to treat everyone like slaves, as the drug laws are modern day Jim Crow slavery writ large.

MASON CITY, Iowa – A traffic stop that turned up drugs is sending a North Iowa man to prison.

Jaiton Myshaun Mangun, 26 of Mason City, has been sentenced to up to five years behind bars, with credit for time served.
Mangun was arrested on April 30 after he was pulled over near the intersection of South Tennessee Avenue and Maple Drive in Mason City. The arresting deputy said Mangun was speeding and a check showed he was driving without a valid license or proof of insurance and gave the deputy a false name.

He eventually pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana-3rd offense.

 

So, a personal amount of marijuana was found, the guy plead to possession ONLY (he did not plead to drug distribution charges) and this lands him in prison. So much for the Iowa state motto about maintaining and prizing rights and liberties. Bunch of redneck, morally bankrupted, hypocrite drug dealer enabling, clowns. Fuck Iowa.
