That One Time Iowa DHS Targeted A CBD-Using Pregnant Woman For Failing Her Drug Test

Here’s another report of family law issues concerning non-medical CBD legality in Iowa and DHS. Today’s report of DHS action taken against an Iowa CBD user (not to be confused with mCBD, sold at Iowa dispensaries around the state to legal cardholders exempt from state and federal law). No legal charges came about as a result of this home check which was instigated after a post-pregnancy drug test came back positive for marijuana due to non-medical OTC CBD use.

Writes a concerned Iowa Patient on Facebook:

“A friend had CBD in her system when she gave birth and DHS was contacted and did a home check! IOWA has so many contradicting laws we cant keep them straight!”

CBD Legality in Iowa is changing, and patients are not being protected while also being used by unscrupulous sellers with political agenda, desires for attention and local fame/infamy, and those trying to make a quick buck on the latest health trend. This failure to protect patients has left vulnerable and confused law-abiding citizens in a position of misrepresentation without protections from those claiming to represent patient best interests. I’ve already named those names myself in other articles here at WeedPress. I’ve also spoken on the 10 o’clock news about the situation to the best of my ability and will continue to educate reporters and interested parties on the status of CBD access and legality for over the counter, non-medical CBD use in Iowa in the weeks, months, and apparently years (decades even?) to come.
