Des Moines Marijuana Enforcement Task Force Tentative Timeline/Schedule For Decriminalization Reports And Public Comment Opportunities

Will be posting to various social media pages and emailing our list concerning the second week of September. Public comment is as of right now going to happen during the second week of September. If you live in Des Moines, or care about Des Moines marijuana laws, the second week of September needs your stories, inputs, and policy proposals to be made available to the public.

Here’s the overall timeline:

 

On June 22, 2020, the Des Moines City Council approved Resolution 20-1065, which established a task force to study ways to minimize criminal enforcement of possession of marijuana for personal use. On July 30, 2020, the task force held an organizational meeting and set forth the tentative timeline:
