So Why Did 47 Iowa House Democrats Vote Against Expanding Iowa’s Marijuana Program In 2020?

Iowa Democrats seem to have sold out Iowa marijuana patients in 2020. Will they sell Iowa patients out again in 2021?

This was the results of the House vote on a bill that added additional conditions and removed the THC cap in Iowa, House File 2589, which Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed last year:

Everyone who voted no is a Democrat except Gustafson. That means 47 Democrats cared more about their political gamesmanship and hubris of power games than voting “yes” for advancing Iowa’s medical marijuana program this last year.

That means Democrats voted to oppose expanding Iowa’s marijuana bill, while Republicans voted to expand Iowa’s marijuana industry.

I do not trust Iowa Democrats to be our friends. Maybe they will prove me wrong. It seems that both parties, a curse upon their houses, will only legalize marijuana if we treat the lawmakers first like Gods, saviors, and worthy of worship to get them to do the right thing and stop tyrannically interfering in marijuana users private lives. I removed my registration as a Democrat prior to the election this year. I was previously a state delegate to the state convention in 2018 for the Iowa a Democrat Party and endorsed Dr. Andy McGuire for Governor that same year. Very disappointed in last year’s performance/stab in the back from the Iowa Democrats.
