On the backs of a new GOP bill dubbed the “States Reform Act” MSN says marijuana stocks are “soaring,” but I’m not so sure. There was day trade gains, but Tilray looked like it got pumped and dumped. Either way, the new Republican backed federal legalization marijuana bill is pushing momentum on federal law reform in a way I haven’t seen before from a piece of legislation.
Extra props to Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) for not only introducing a bill to legalize marijuana, but one that includes expungement for previous marijuana offenses. This system owes thousands of marijuana users reparations. Having abused the legal system to arrest and imprison minorities and cultures not approved of (read: not white.) If you want your integrity back moving forward, pay us back for dehumanizing people, forcing them into spending time in your jails, and then being kicked out of job programs and even entire industries, for choosing a safer alternative.
Stocks on cannabis have been dormant for awhile but — once the reefer madness generation wakes up and realizes their mistakes on cannabis laws — cannabis stocks should rightfully fly.
Ganja is getting ready to power up the world. And cannabis, is a really, really profitable crop in spite of federal prohibition. In spite of countless lives wasted, and untold financial waste. Cannabis still wins.
The seeds have been planted. And now we get to watch them grow and get water.
