Interestingly, minutes before the speech above, another South Dakota resident, Matthew Mosher, also brought up the DEA process states can use to file for federal marijuana exemptions:
Matthew Mosher asked (and incorrectly named the office) if South Dakota lawmakers have any intention of working to petition the federal government for an official exception to federal law for state authorized medical marijuana users. His question was also given at the August 17, 2021 Sioux Falls city council meeting.
