Text Of Senate Joint Resolution 2003, Iowa Legislature 2022 — Adding Marijuana To Iowa Constition

A hail mary of a resolution was tossed into the mix in response to Republican grandstanding and immorality. A link to this hail mary was linked in a cannabis patient in a group I started and admin in Iowa, the Iowa Medical Cannabis Community. A patient from Iowa shared a link to this resolution so I thought I’d post it here.

This Iowa Medical Cannabis Community. has grown 20% in the past two months and is now larger than MedPharm Iowa’s Facebook page — and at this rate will be larger than Legalize Iowa by the end of the year. Legalize Iowa has roughly 7,500 users, mostly out of state, and mostly foul mouthed and ungrateful users who attack other advocates, make false statements about companies or individuals being “snitches,” complain when bills get introduced, and don’t add anything to the discussion or make any effort to be good advocates. They’re also ineffective as a group and largely ignored by the community.

MedPharm Iowa has mostly patients, and has about 5,400 followers. They are also the most effective advocacy organization in Iowa, and are routinely abused by less capable (jealous) advocates who wish to have all the attention to themselves. MedPharm is also falsely accused of having been set up as a monopoly intentionally to scam people and make money — MedPharm had no role in legislation, and was the only company in the entire world that signed up to give service to Iowa marijuana patients because no other company in their right mind wanted to lose as much money as MedPharm has to help us start the industry.

The largest page in Iowa is Iowa Patients for Medical Marijuana, which has over 11,000 likes and followers. The Iowa Medical Cannabis Community has now grown to 5,400 members, and is the highest quality group in terms of information, knowledge, discussion and resources for Iowa cannabis advocates and consumers. Anyone is welcome to join except journalists or politicians. Unlike other marijuana groups and pages, black market supporters are forbidden access, and respectability between members, while flexible, is top priority.

This joint resolution, SJR 2003, currently only has four registered lobbyist declarations, one from Iowa Patients for Medical Marijuana, two from the police chief association and one from the Iowa Department of Health. Police supporting black market drug sales is par the course this year for the most powerful lobbyist organization in the state. Small town drug dealers strongly oppose removing prohibition, which provides no state control over a popular and profitable commodity. Johann Hari’s “The Fix” narrated by Samuel L. Jackson exposes this unseen, corrupted, and unintended, consequence of prohibition for free here on the Roku web player — watch in your browser today.
