An Iowa medical cannabis patient cardholder was recently given wrong legal direction from her probation officer after her probation officer incorrectly told her she may not be able to have a medical cannabis card, or use high-THC vaporization pens from Iowa medical cannabis dispensaries, due to her status as a felon.

While this used to be the law, the law has been changed. Yet, some websites, such as this fake news marijuana web site out of New York, lie to Iowans and mislead them on this issue, so I emailed the Bureau of Cannabis Regulation at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services for proof this is no longer the case. Here’s their email back to me as of Thursday November 9th.

If anyone you know has been given fake news on felons in Iowa being barred from accessing the medical cannabis we here at WeedPress worked so hard to legalize for everyone, send them this link, then tell them to follow our blog for future fake news debunking.
Have a nice day.

Thought: why were felons ever denied marijuana? Answer: totalitarian moralists on the immoral side of history; or putting it bluntly the GOP, whom has become experts at losing elections on moral superiority complexes of abortion and war policy and, you know, the United States original promise of leaving people alone; their viciousness against medical marijuana is a comical result of their religious moralizing, which is why they are losing elections, twice comically resulting in them doubling down on moral issues but doing it in a consistently and spectacularly losing elections sort of way (that’s fun to enjoy repeating). This may change post 2023, but the fact that less than a decade ago this issue was a question should be a reminder of who your friends are and who your dictaster like oppressors are (the GOP, which works even now as we speak to reverse voter’s 2023 landslide cannabis legalization vote in Ohio in another GOP loser’s gambit of moral superiority complexes that enable drug dealers and criminals and don’t solve the issue of unregulated black market drug abuses but multiply them instead … drug regulation and control being a complex issue to such simpletons, whose only reactivity to the temporary hiccups and failings of objectively overly liberalized semi-regulation of decriminalized drugs on the West coast…they, the clown moralists, can only revert to a totally unregulated 100% prohibition, instead of a regulated, safe access market…morality plus GOP = election losers, a match made, from where, I know not.
Hard to make a long term difference when you can’t hold election powers long enough over two decades coming up that analysts say don’t bode well election wise for such “moralities” being overturned by objective federal HHS science-based recommendations to change the fucking marijuana laws. Cough, cough.
Be heartened, or delusional, but either way hear this pespective: overwhelmingly, obviously to myself, these GOP moralists are at this point in 2023, easy targets for advancing the best sort of drug policies that deal with reality rather than moral pureness and regulate drugs, after prohibition has failed, and recognize that means effective legalization, not one shot, first time, overly liberalized laws under regulating drugs to control the damage — the more aggressive they attack, the stronger our arguments end up resulting when advanced. Articulation to moral losers is not the issue, it’s the asset. That’s why 70% of Americans support marijuana legalization in 2023 and vote accordingly. We’ve already won, the GOP moralists don’t see it coming. Keep going.
It’s irrelevant, though useful considering, whether the GOP oppressors intentionally let overly-liberalized drug laws be passed on the West Coast so they could not resolve their moral purity postering that enforces immorally inferior drug policy — these clowns can’t think, nor communicate, and it’s the articulation of drug policy effectiveness and prohibition’s ineffectiveness with the mutual goal of controlling and regulating our secular, immoral, gray area, pandemic of out of control hard drug abuses, and get to the core causes, the most important of which politics can’t cure: spiritual emptiness.
