I met with Governor Kim Reynolds with the head of the Iowa College Republicans and other leaders in 2017 to warn political violence with my college activist group was on the rise. My colleague at Iowa State, Ryan Hurley, former President of Young Americans for Liberty at Iowa State, testified to the Governor he was assaulted for speaking on campus about politics. I was the current YAL chapter President at ISU when I met with the Governor and was one of the three students who spoke at length with Governor Reynolds during the round table.
This week Revolver News exposes a recent assassination at Brown University. Ella Cook, someone’s 19 year old daughter, while holding a conservative political group meeting on campus, was murdered in what appears to be a targeted hit. This is devastating and heart breaking.
“What used to be online threats, harassment, and social-media trolling has started to bleed (literally) into the real world. Conservatives are being swatted. Homes are being shot up. Public figures are facing assassinations. Events are being shut down by threats of violence. And now, once again, a young conservative is dead.
Over the past few years, conservatives have watched the political temperature rise. Two assassination attempts on President Trump. Charlie Kirk was murdered. Tim Pool’s home shot up. Online influencers confronted at their houses by armed individuals… it’s something new and terrifying every week.
And now there’s Brown University.
Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama and Vice President of the Brown College Republicans, was murdered in a shooting that has way more questions than answers. The official statements are just that – very official. We’re told the investigation is ongoing. But outside the university’s carefully worded updates, a growing number of sources are raising very serious concerns that this was not a random act of violence—it was targeted.
None of what follows has been confirmed by law enforcement, and as you know, motive has not been publicly established, because despite having more cameras than Hollywood, the shooter hasn’t been identified. But the consistency of what’s being alleged is enough to warrant a report.
With that said, veteran journalist Mark Halperin’s sources have told him that Ella Cook may have been the intended target. Halperin is clear that he does not know whether this is true. But if it were, he explains, it would significantly change how this case should be understood.
Mark points out there are many things about this case that are raising eyebrows. First, the reported behavior of the attacker. In many school shootings, the shooters continue until stopped. But this shooter reportedly entered, carried out the attack, and left. That has led many to believe that this looks more like a targeted act than some random spree.

Next, the response from authorities was telling. Brown students were told they were “safe” even though no suspect had been taken into custody.
And lastly, the surveillance question that keeps coming up. Brown University is among the most heavily monitored campuses in the country. But days later, there’s been no public identification of a suspect. That right there has left many people drawing some understandable conclusions. In other words, authorities hate it when the suspect might not fit their “narrative.”
So, if Ella Cook was the one targeted, it would raise serious and uncomfortable questions. Cook was not some “anon” student. She was a visible conservative leader on a campus, with very strong views on the trans movement. Keep in mind, Brown is known for being “unfriendly” towards conservatives. A recent poll shows conservative students are afraid to express their beliefs…”

As WeedPress warned in 2020: “America is either going to reject political violence or become consumed by it. That seems to be what the 2020 vote is going to end up being about.”
Things are not looking good when 19 year olds are targeted for hits for speaking out on politics. Leftists hateful Nazi labels are to blame. Stop it.
