Why Consumers Prefer Walmart to Small Businesses

“Mom-and-pop” shops aren’t better. Amazon refunds you in 30 seconds while the indie biz ghosts you. Local cafes open whenever the owner feels like it.

The neighborhood market is expensive and always out of what you need. CVS fills prescriptions on time; the independent pharmacy closes for lunch.

You don’t have to worry about being scammed with lyft/uber.

The charming inn cancels your res last minute “because of a wedding”.

I would personally rather pay blackrock — who just wants the rent on autopay and to not get sued — than a landlord who treats tenant law as a suggestion.

Corporations are soulless but they’re legible. Small businesses probably aren’t big because they are bad.

Consumers have spoken. Voting with your wallets drives markets.
