Cards, renewals, or portal access

My account, application, card, or caregiver designation
Start with DOH’s medical cannabis program. Its patient page lists the number and email above for technical help and program questions. It also says the program does not maintain a list of practitioners who will certify patients.1
Have the submission date, error message, and the specific step that failed ready. Ask how to provide identifying information securely. Do not put a complete card number, date of birth, or medical records in a public post.
My certification, symptoms, treatment, or a replacement product
Contact the certifying or treating clinician. Ask what to do if access is interrupted and what information they need to evaluate a change. For a possible medication interaction, ask the clinician or pharmacist to review your medication list. A store can answer inventory questions; individualized treatment decisions belong with your care team.
Store hours, stock, purchase verification, or a missing product
Call the dispensary directly before traveling. Use the official establishment list to check the business and location, then ask the store to confirm its current operation and stock.2
If the problem is card verification or a dispensary designation, ask the store to describe the exact issue and take that to DOH. Keep a receipt or written explanation when available.
A suspected rule violation or product-safety concern
Use the DOH establishment complaint form. It requests identifying information, the business and location, what happened, and supporting documents. It is not an anonymous tip form or a promise of a particular outcome.3
For an immediate medical emergency, call 911. For nonemergency treatment concerns, contact your clinician rather than waiting for a regulatory complaint response.
A hospital, assisted-living center, or nursing home policy
Ask the facility administrator or care team for the written policy before bringing cannabis there. State law allows covered facilities to adopt restrictions, including on storage and where use occurs. The facility’s answer, the state statute, and federal requirements may raise different questions.4
Use the family guide’s care-facility questions to prepare. If the answer threatens an existing care arrangement, take the written policy and relevant notices to a lawyer.
Work, housing, custody, charges, or a legal deadline
Use WeedPress’s attorney section as a starting point. For free or lower-cost civil legal help, the South Dakota Unified Judicial System’s legal-help page explains the SD Law Help application route. Eligibility and acceptance are determined by the legal-services provider; a listing does not guarantee cannabis representation.5
Ask about the lawyer’s relevant practice, conflicts, fees, and the deadline you face. An agency inquiry does not replace responding to an eviction notice, employer notice, court filing, or appeal deadline.
I want WeedPress to investigate an access problem
Send a short factual account to weedpressnewstips@gmail.com: what changed, where, when, and what records support it. Start with redacted documents and ask before sending sensitive material. WeedPress is a reporting outlet; sending a tip does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee publication.
