The discussion continues. Federal and international law matters. All of us need to work together to make the state regulate and implement its own program and laws and not be lead by the Feds without state input.
To register to speak during public comment, go here:
Register at https://sdlegislature.gov/testify/307903. The form is on the October 13 agenda.
Enter your first and last name. Select In Person, Remotely, or Written. Select representing Self. Enter your city and state.
Mark at least one agenda item or the form will not send. For the 1:00 p.m. public-comment slot, mark Presenting. For means you support that item. Against means you oppose it. Other means you are answering a question and are neither for nor against. Not Applicable means you are skipping that item.
Remote testimony requires an email. Staff must get the chair’s approval. It is not automatic. Written testimony is public. Do not include medical records or a home address.
Submit. Expect to be bothered by industry lobbyists who want to tell you what to say or do. If they do bother you, tell them Jason Karimi of WeedPress says patients are the real stakeholders and have a right to speak at public hearings without harassment from people trying to use patients instead of serve patients. See you all on October 13.
