Just woke up to this idea: this section…

…may legally allow homegrown to be included under federal law after all. WeedPress previously warned homegrown may be illegal and to watch that closely:
An absolute legend of the cannabis movement has filed with DEA to rule on the homegrown issue. No organization or lobbyist thought to do so except one guy. When the DEA rules, WeedPress will be the first to report on whether homegrown is ruled as federally protected or not. I might contact certain organizations in the meantime for multiple opinions and idea brainstorms around this otherwise ignored issue. MPP is doing good work again, and I hear NORML is on point as well. They’ve always been decent- stellar actually – about helping on real legal inquiries.
Businesses have been focused on business industry interests and ignoring end user patient concerns. The issue of homegrown federally legality is one of those oversights. WeedPress will press independently for patients and end user interests as federal law changes advance. Businesses concerns are also respected but the inevitable conflicting tensions between patient and business concerns preexisted long before WeedPress ever published independent analysis of these issues. So if you don’t like what we have to say, you can call us, or take us to court. Either way the public will have access to all documents in order to judge for themselves if their nursing home grandmothers are federally outlawed still or not for using the safer alternative for pain management, medical, marijuana.
Thank you for your attention to this important homegrown federal compliance policy matter. Please consult an attorney for advice. Then send him a subscription to WeedPress.
When homegrown is overlooked by businesses because they can’t make money off of it, WeedPress covered the solutions, not the blame game. Everyone has ideas to contribute. Public health and safety needs best ideas and concerns broached publicly. Insider access games are over. Federal compliance guarantees that. Welcome to the new reality.
Protect these patients. They’re not meant to be profit margins in dispensary ledgers and never were. Compassion isn’t yachts and mortgages paid for by the sick and hurt.
Stay tuned with WeedPress for the DEA ruling on homegrown federal legality. Unless you find thinking too hard and prefer to smoke weed and watch cartoons….then you can go away. There’s real work to be done here, and the work can be – and should be – boring.
That’s how good policy is made.
If you want to bicker and cluck, go over to Facebook. Attention seekers are aplenty over there.
Toodles.
