What Did Charlie Kirk Teach Americans?

On the one year anniversary when peaceful, polite, kind, remarkably respectful public dialogue assassinated Charlie Kirk’s service to humanity, a new resolve: stop explaining to an indifferent and uninterested public, and just file paperwork.

Put up and shut up saves energy. Some people cannot be reasoned with. Some are emotional wack jobs.

I used to think I needed to explain to people what I was doing before I did it in case I made mistakes, but after 17 years it’s much more considerate of others limited energy resources and just go do the filings then send the filed copy to a public archive for future reference by the four interested researchers that will pop up every decade or so.

That’s the lesson from Charlie. Ideas communicated via technology in the Internet age will change things. The next six years decides the next 60, or 600…put up, or shut up.

Enough with all the posers shouting knowledge but being walking cases of Dunning-Kroger.

Free speech prevents government abuse. Charlie Kirk, a super policy nerd who hated cannabis and never had a serious debate on the topic, taught those paying attention that foundational principle. And to those who got his lesson, the moral duty to talk in good faith to find hard answers to complex sociological issues and be willing to make mistakes and just do their best is mandatory. Borderline legally binding.

“They” killed someone’s friend and father and now we are going to talk about it when it needs talked about. This political assassination is due international shockwaves in politics. Tick tock. The Robinson trial looms…is the system on trial yet? Paving over a crime scene days later…

Anyways.

Time will tell. But something changed when I woke from a nap to the words Charlie Kirk was shot. I haven’t stopped randomly crying a year later. And for that, all gloves are off, and niceties and hand holding is over. Tell it to the judge in a brief or shut the fuck up. Life is precious, and if you aren’t able to file and earn your keep in legal forums I genuinely don’t care to talk to you other than minimal polite niceties. Otherwise, silence is preferable so this obsession of proving the government doesn’t follow its own laws or regulations via the policy of cannabis can be finalized.
